Some explanation on the photo size and quality

In order to fit a 1024 x 768 size srceen, all photos inside the browser window have a maximum vertical size of 600 pixels. Most photos with a landscape orientation will have a horizontal size of 800 pixels. Most photos with a portrait orientation will have a horizontal size of 450 pixels.

To save webspace, network traffic and loading time the photos have been compressed. This shows in the skye part of the photos, as can be seen in the examples below.

In order to fit a 1920 x 1080 size Full HD screen, all photos of the DVD version will have a maximum vertical size of 900 pixels. Most photos with a landscape orientation that can be resized to a 16:9 format, will have a horizontal size of 1600 pixels. If a resize to 16:9 format is not possible, the original 4:3 format will be maintained and the horizontal size will be 1200 pixels. Most photos with a portrait orientation will have a horizontal size of 600 pixels.
